There’s something in the air. At the 2008 MacWorld Expo, his Steveness delivered another of his famous keynote speeches, introducing a plethora of new products, including Time Capsule, Apple TV, the much-rumored MacBook Air, plus fantastic feature enhancements to the iPhone, iTunes and more!
- Time Capsule, which is a “backup appliance” that looks like the Mac Mini or Apple TV. It enables you to backup wirelessly using Time Machine. Available in 500 GB (US $299) and 1 TB ($499). Ships in February.
- New GPS-like “You Are Here” feature for iPhone Maps.
- Customizable iPhone Home Screen—now just drag the items you want on your home screen.
- Added Mail, Maps, Stocks, Notes, and Weather to iPod touch for just a $20 upgrade.
- iTunes Movie Rentals from Touchstone, Miramax, MGM, Lions Gate, Paramount, Universal, 20th Century Fox, Disney, Sony and others! Just $2.99 each, $3.99 for new releases.
- Apple TV 2 — works without a Mac or PC. Rent DVD-quality movies and even music directly from your TV! Supports High Definition and Dolby 5.1. Just $229, or a free software upgrade for existing Apple TV owners!
- Oh! And the world’s thinnest notebook, the MacBook Air! At just 0.16 inches at it’s thinnest point, it will fit entirely into a yellow office envelope.
